Linda Crispi has been in the early childhood field for over 30 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s Degree in Education/Psychology (with an emphasis in early intervention) from Boston College and School Administration and Supervision from The College of New Rochelle.
She began her career in a summer camp and campus childcare while in college. Later she opened her own early learning center in Greenfield, MA. After 5 years she returned to New York and started working at a Head Start program. After directing the Head Start program she returned to direct at Campus Child Care Centers at Farmingdale State and Suffolk County Community College.
She has successfully obtained and maintained NAEYC accreditation and the NYS Quality Stars rating. Ms. Crispi is a member of the Long Island Leadership Advisory Board, Long Island Pre-K Initiative, NAEYC, NYAEYC, and was President Elect and President of the SUNY Early Education Leadership program. She holds a NYS Professional Trainer Certification, and holds certifications in; High Scope Preschool Curriculum, High Scope Trainer, Children’s Mindfulness and Children’s Yoga. She provides workshops through the Child Care Council of Suffolk. She has been an advocate for early childhood education and has joined the college’s advocacy day trips to Albany.
